How far in advance do you take orders?
I have bookings in advance of a year. 2025 and 2026 are going to be very busy years for the bridal industry Please, please book in advance so you are not disappointed. Limited orders available. |
Does resin yellow over time? Will my flowers discolor?
Preserved Keepsakes uses the highest quality resin manufactured for flower preservation. The resin used contains UV stabilizers which inhibits the resin from yellowing. However if you choose to keep your keepsake in a place that has direct or indirect sunlight your block will start to yellow over time. Please do not keep your precious keepsake near sun, or heat which can cause your piece to yellow. I use a protective spray on light color flowers to help keep their natural color, however over time the color can start to fade. Preserved Keepsakes does not hold responsibility for floral preservation pieces that turn yellow after 3 months from delivery. As there is no way to know how much UV exposure the pieces were exposed to while in the client's possession. |
Do you work with air dried flowers?
Yes! Preserved Keepsakes preserves both fresh and pre-dried bouquets. As long as there is not an excessive amount of dust on them we can work with them. Pre-dried spots are filled in throughout the year based upon availability. Please contact us for more information. |
Do My expectations match with what happens during floral preservation?
As a client it is important to have realistic expectations. The floral preservation process of drying, resin pouring and the curing process can alter your flowers. Please read our Important Information document |
Are floral blocks poured in one layer?
No! The resin needs to be poured in multiple layers to ensure the resin does not heat up too quickly. Thick pours can cause flowers to burn and resin yellowing. Layers are poured when the previous layer has cured to prevent flower burn and premature resin yellowing. |
How long do the flowers dry in the silica gel?
Most flowers dry in 2 - 4 weeks. This timeline is to ensure that denser flowers like roses dry completely. If the flowers have any moisture in them they will rot! You cannot rush this process. We take specific measures to ensure your precious flowers are dried specifically to our patented procedures. |
Do you work with flowers that have already been dried?
Of course we would be happy to discuss using your previously dried flowers to make a shadow box or resin keepsake. |
How quickly do my fresh flowers need to be sent to you?
Fresh flowers need to be sent asap. 1-2 day shipping after the wedding via overnight or drop off if you are in driving distance to London. If you send them ground shipping there will be a good chance that they will wilt, brown or fall apart. It's not cheap but preserving your bouquet is an investment that you will be able to cherish forever! |
Can my bridesmaid hand delivery my bouquet to you?
Absolutely! We will provide you with a drop off date and time when we receive your deposit. |
What if my flowers get damaged during shipping?
Preserved Keepsakes is not responsible for any damages incurred during shipping. If you are pre-drying your own flowers, it is the responsibility of the customer to properly dry the flowers. Preserved Keepsakes is not responsible for any damaged flowers including wilting, rotting or browning. If the flowers sent by the customer are damaged, the customer has the choice to either receive a refund of their deposit or have our florist recreate a partial bouquet and send it back to Preserved Keepsakes. Clients who wish to have their orders shipped are responsible for additional shipping costs. |
