It all starts with the freshest bouquets to make your resin bouquet preservation piece. The most vibrant colors, shapes and textures can be preserved into dried flowers from the freshest blooms possible. It is extremely important that your wedding flower bouquet is kept cool and hydrated throughout the day. If at all possible have someone put your flower bouquet in a vase filled with fresh water once you no longer need it. Re-cutting the stems will help the flowers to take up more water. The best time to put your wedding flowers in a vase is usually at the dinner ceremony once all your pictures have been taken and you have moved on to the reception part of the day. Our preferred vendor at Exeter Gulf Club will be more than happy to take care of your bouquet once all your pictures has been taken.
The next morning have a friend or family member deliver or courier your wedding bridal bouquet to our address listed below . This address is also provided on our information kit which you will receive when you place your deposit. See our preparing flowers tab for more specific information on preparing your flowers for courier shipping. It is important to know that any damaged flowers that have been wilted, bruised, discolored or crushed will not be included in the preservation process (replacement flowers can be substituted if some of your flowers are too damaged to preserve). This is why it is very important to hand deliver or ship your wedding bouquet to us 1 to 2 business days maximum after the event. This will ensure that you have the most beautiful resin floral preservation.
Please Note: Due to the delicate nature of our craft, only a limited amount of hand made orders are able to be created each week. Each order is incredibly important to us and is a labour of love. Please make sure that you have pre-booked your order to ensure availability. We make every effort to accommodate requests, however we can not guarantee last minute orders as spots fill up quickly! Get your spot reserved as soon as you know your wedding date and you have booked your florist so we can preserve the keepsake of your dreams!
Once your wedding bouquet has arrived at our location pictures will be taken at different angles to capture every flower. This will help in designing your modern wedding bouquet preservation. The wedding bouquet flower preservation will begin by carefully separating and creating an inventory of each flower. The stems will be cut off and each individual flower head will be submerged in silica gel. Here the flowers will rest in a cool and dry place in an air tight container for approximately 2 to 4 weeks. Once the flowers are fully dried they are carefully removed from the silica gel ever so gently. Each flower will be carefully brushed to remove the remaining silica gel.

Now for the fun part. The creative process begins. A beautiful creative design will be made with your flowers in your requested shape/size. Once we feel we have the perfect design, a picture will be taken and sent to you for your approval. We will tweak the design until both parties feel it is perfect! Once we receive your design approval its time to pour the resin! A invoice will be sent out to you at this time for the remaining balance of your order to be paid in full before the resin has been poured. Our resin block art is a time sensitive process and requires multiple layers of pouring. Many fine layers are delicately poured over your floral pieces. Each layer of resin must set before the next layer can be poured. Multiple layers are poured until your flowers are fully submerged in the resin. After 7 to 12 layers of resin pouring, we allow a minimum of 48 hours resin curing time before pulling the floral block from the mold. This ensures a strong, durable foundation for your preserved resin keepsake. Your keepsake this then left to further cure for 14-30 days.

Please Note: Because we are dealing with hand made pouring of the resin and dried botanical there is always the possibility of some small air bubbles or micro bubbles, imperfections and small flaws. We will try to limit these items to ensure the best quality product possible.

The whole preservation process takes approximately 20 to 24 weeks and can take longer during peak seasons. We use only the highest quality resin that is non-toxic and produces no VOCs or fumes. With all hand made art please keep your resin wedding bouquet pieces away from direct sunlight. Keep away from windows as UV light can cause mild yellowing of your preserved keepsake. Many people choose to display their preserved keepsake on a living room table, piano, fireplace mantle, bookshelf, curio cabinet or bedroom side table.
